I’m writing a quick update so my readers know that I have not abandoned this blog. I guess I have been pretty busy.
Soon after our Montana adventure, my mom had surgery, so I spent a lot of time helping her through the holidays (she is doing well, now). After the holidays we went to Maui, where I spend most of my time outdoors, so did not take my laptop. It was wonderful and I will write about that later.
A few days after returning from Maui, I had my annual 4-day ski trip in Ontario with my friend, Marcy (very fun, as always). Ten days later, we left for Breckenridge for spring skiing. I took my laptop, but for various reasons I did not spend time writing when not skiing. I flew home this weekend, for a family wedding, and will fly back to Breckenridge tomorrow, then Dave and I will return home in 7 – 10 days.
I am committed to continuing the blog. One reason is that it helps me to reflect upon and document our travels, keeping a good record for the future. Another reason is that while writing or reading a post about a past adventure, I can relive it. When times are challenging or even a little dull, it reminds me of how much fun we’ve had.
